I always have these moments when I see something ridiculously over-priced at my favorite stores, and think, SERIOUSLY? I could make that for less than half of what their charging! Well, I had one of those moments in Charleston a week ago when I went to the local Urban Outfitters. I saw a pair of shorts that I loved, but they were charging 50 bucks a pair. And they were seriously DIY-able! So I decided, that being the craft geek that I am, I will make these shorts. So this is part 1 of 2: The Urban Outfitters Challenge.

These are the first pair. A white, or bleached white denim high rise short with pink, blue, and yellow splatters of tye-dye. Distressed, of course.

I went to Goodwill today and found the PERFECT pair of white denim shorts to use for this. They fit like a glove and all they need is some distress. Although I don't know whether to dye them first, then destroy, or destroy, then dye.
Part two coming up soon!
Aghhh I love UO shorts, but you're right, they are so over-priced! :(
